Early Childhood Education
A world of learning through play and emotion
At the San Vicente de Paúl School in Zaragoza, the Early Childhood Education stage is the first step of an educational journey that makes a difference. We create a safe and stimulating environment where children learn and grow happily. Our mission is to promote comprehensive development, adapted to the pace of each student, through an innovative methodology and a values-based approach.
A path to meaningful learning
We are based on an active educational model, where learning becomes an adventure. Through play, research, and experimentation, the little ones discover the world around them.
The main lines of our methodology are:
Project-Based Learning (PBL)
Projects are the engine of our work. Designed by our teachers, they foster curiosity, respect, and cooperation, allowing students to develop their oral expression and listening skills.
Emotional Intelligence and Psychomotricity
We place great importance on emotional education, helping children to recognise and manage their emotions, to develop self-esteem, and to relate in a healthy way. Through relational psychomotricity sessions, comprehensive development is promoted and free expression is encouraged in a safe environment.
Technological Initiation and Mathematics
We introduce students to the use of technology in a playful and safe manner, with tools such as the light table, digital screens, and robots (Bee-Bot). In mathematics, we work with the ABN methodology (Open Algorithms Based on Numbers) so that they understand the concepts naturally.

Cooperative Learning
We work in small groups and by corners, as in the projects we carry out on Friday afternoons, so that our students learn to collaborate, respect turns, and help each other, fostering autonomy.
Bilingualism
From the age of 3, children become familiar with English through songs, stories, and games, facilitating an early and fun immersion in the language.
Beyond the classroom...
we discover and explore
Special events and celebrations
During the school year, we celebrate festivities and events such as Carnival, La Candelaria, or the "Stories of Light" project, which promote coexistence and participation from the educational community and the neighbourhood.
Sports and community
We hold the "CHIQUICARRERA," a sports day that brings together the entire school community and neighbourhood around sports, active living, and the development of social skills.
Nature projects and school garden
We have created a garden at the school so that through project work our students can learn experientially about the life cycle of plants, agriculture, and caring for the planet.
Visits and outings
We believe that children should be able to discover their immediate surroundings, visit places of interest, and broaden their learning horizons.
with a variety of activities and projects that motivate our students to explore and learn practically:
Chess Project
Chess activities are carried out throughout the entire stage.
